New Artist to bring Dubstep Back to Life

New Artist / DJ Bassassin comes from Hollywood and will be the new rising star in the EDM world. With his new EP titeld In Yo Face! is 7 tracks of pure EDM goodness. The lead single Love Surround Me atsonishes me with the beatufil singing voice of the recording artist and the lyrics written by Bassassin as well.

Mechatronica is the other track that stands out and you can watch the music video on youtube here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvRZ_aD5Nx0

My Addiction features the same singer and again lyrics written by Bassassin about his "addiction" to the rave lifestlye.

This is one artist you dont want to sleep on. Go buy his EP on iTunes and follow him on all his social media.

Dark lotus.

Dark Lotus The Mud, Water, Air, Blood

Dark Lotus has come back and also with Twizted! Abk does appear on only one song however.

My Head Is Haunted is the third track on the cd but the first time Madrox is on it.

Death In A Jar has a real trap beat that immediately got my head bobbing.

My Kind Of Party is a rock rap song that had the Lotus members rapping like Tech N9ne.

Villainous features ABK and might be the only actual horror core song on the cd.

Juggalos only.

This Thing Got A Hemi

Godsmack 10000 horse  power

The opening song is also the title track and it goes from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds. This is a kick ass song telling the story of how Godsmack rose up from a local band to the the rockstars they are now.

Generation Day sounds like a mix of all the albums mixed into one song. Even the acoustic album.

This is a great Godsmack album. Like I said before this sounds like a mix of all the CDs in one. All Godsmack followers will eat this up.

Random White People Music

Diplo Random White Dude Everywhere

Revolution features Kai who will make her appearance on many EDM tracks.

Techno has Waka Flaka Flame on the mic and has an amazing trap drop. The funny thing I have never listened to Waka Flocka until now.

Diplo's lead single Boy Oh Boy finally has an EP to call home.

This is a different collection of trap songs but I'm sure Diplo fans will still buy it. DJs look for Boy Oh Boy if you don't have it yet.

Put me to sleep

Tom Petty Hypnotic Eye

American Dream Plan B wow what is that annoying effect on toms voice?

Fault Line sounds like he used the same exact amp settings for his guitar on this song.

Forgotten Man is the first song to sound like one of his classic songs.

Burn Out Town is a real good blues song about a town full of junkies and crooks.

So this cd totally sucks.

Common sent's

Common Nobody's Smiling

This is my first time actually listening to a full Common CD so please be accepting of my judgment.

No Fear is a story about a drug dealer with a nice wardrobe and lots of jewelry but does it for child.

Speak My Piece samples Biggie Smalls in the hook with some ambient noises.

Hustle Harder is a song about a girl that makes more money than most men on her own. Also Nikki Minaj makes a guest appearance on his song.

Nobody's Smiling is a song about Common's home town Chicago and how the hardships it's citizens must go through.

7 deadly sins is a song about the seven deadly sins but relating it to the streets. Also my pick of the litter.

From what I gathered this might be for true fans only.

Pouring Salt on Slug

Do not buy the new Atmosphere album. It's terrible and will not gain them new fans.

Download it.

There Goes The Neighborhood

Body count - Manslaughter

For those of you who don't know, Ice-T has a thrash metal band and they know how to rock and still keep it street. With this new release they are better than ever with a new guitarist to the line up.

Talk Shit Got Shot - Here comes Body Count right out of the gate and coming up with an extreme play on the saying talk shit get hit and skipping straight to shooting someone.  Verse 3 is all hilarious metaphorical references to guns.

99 Problems BC - Is a cover version of the Jay Z song.

Institutionalized 2014 - Body Count does their rendition of Suicidal Tendencies and changed the lyrics around.

Pop Bubble - Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed appears on the hook of this song and has a whole verse too on a song about how pop music sucks.

Bitch In The Pit - This little number is about a female mosher.

This is an absolute buy. I will admit the early stuff was more novelty Han metal but I still enjoyed it. However that isn't the case with this cd, this is an actual metal accomplishment. Good job Ice.

Abaddon all hope

Boondox   Abaddon

This is Boondox is his return to Psychopathic Records after a  brief leave of absence.

Abaddon - The title track brings back the question of if ICP believe in God then why do they have artists with such heretical themes?

Bloody Regrets - features Big Hoodoo which I didn't think he was in contact with Psychopathic after they dropped him.

Kikdoe - features Violent J and has a punk rock tempo track behind it. I believe this is only the second time Violent J has done a song with Boondox. It's also not about robberies but breaking into his girlfriends house.

Pillin' Spree - What a sick street beat. This drug song is my absolute favorite.

My Night - ICP both are on this country song. Which I am very sure this is their first collaboration.

Movin' On - Jellyroll who is from Lil Wyte's Wyte Music label appears on this song. Maybe they're friends because they are both fat white rappers from the south.

This is for juggalos that like Boondox only.

Feelin Dizzy

Dizzy Wright - State of Mind

Funk Volume artist Dizzy Wright has a new EP out with a very sleepy song that talks about living a healthy life that is the title track.

Too Real For This has a hook that goes I'll probably get a deal for this but I'm feel I'm too real for this." I think he means a major deal but at first I thought he was undermining  his Funk Volume deal.

New Generation is the first hard song but it's not really that hard, it just seems like it is because all the other songs are slow.

This ep is just a collection of slow ass songs, no bangers just chill songs.

Da baddest bitch is back

Trina rockstar royalty

Well the cd has three intros which confused me but made sense why this 19 track album is only 37 minutes long.

The first actually song is Taking Over Ladies talks about the baddest bitch's comeback with a beat perfect for driving.

Party Like A Rockstar is a remix of Party Like A Rockstar by The Shop Boys and also uses the chorus of "Superstar".

Grey Goose is my favorite song on the cd because it's got the best beat and my favorite Vodka.

Bitch u don't need you samples Wanna fuck you by Akon.

B R Right features Ludacris and is a very sexually explicit song.

Paid time off

Lil wyte no sick days

Has somewhat of an intro  (F*** An Intro) then goes into a serious song about lil wyte describing his high school days about listening to triple six (Mighty Mafia).

Three High starts and it already sounds like something off Still Doubted? But the production on that album sounded too similar on all songs. Not the case with this release so not sure if the producers got their act together or Wyte fired them and got new guys.

House party is going to be the new party anthem for white people.

Check this cd out for Lil Wyte followers.

Oh Dio, Where Art Thou?

Anthrax starts off by covering Neon Knights a Black Sabbath song during their Dio years.

Tenacious D do their acoustic rendition of Last In Line with a pan flute solo and I know they were friends with Dio but they could have taken it a little more serious but at the same time you wouldn't want them too.

Motörhead cover Starstruck with Lemmy not being audible until the song is over because Biff Byford took control of vocal duties.

Corey Taylor takes on Rainbow in the Dark. My favorite singer doing my favorite Dio song, with his powerful voice and hired band this is a really strong track.

I'm sure you all heard Killswitch Engaged's cover of Holy Diver before so it would be obvious that this one is on the CD.

Scorpions make the song The Temple Of The King sound just like it could be one of their own originals.

I don't care too much for Rob Halford's cover of Man on the Silver Mountain. For a good cover check out Hammerfall's version.

Metallica do a Dio medley consisting of Tarot Woman, Stargazer, and Kill The King.

Dio has a spot on here too. The title track of the cd has the man himself doing a piano ballad.

Jasta, which is Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed solo project ends the cd off with his interpretation of Buried Alive

Why haven't you gotten this cd yet?

Black Lable

Black Label Society

Fields Of Unforgiveness the typical stoner metal with pinch harmonics galore begins the new release and of course you know the solo in this song is an amazing showcase of shredding guitar brought on by Zakk

Angel Of Mercy is clean guitar and clean vocal song that was a nice change up transition between the pinch harmonics.

Guess how many pinch harmonics Zakk Wyld used in Damn The Flood.

Shades Of Grey is such a beautiful song I don't care how slow or sappy it is.

Dark Side Of The Sun showcased the best solo of the album.

This is an ordinary release by the doom crew so the super fans  and fans of shred will dig it but it won't bring new fans to the table.

Viking Rock

Amon Amarth Under The Influence

Viking metal gods came out with a ep of covers of 4 classic metal bands Motörhead, Judas Priest, AC/DC, and Black Sabbath.

Burning Anvil Of Steel is a cover of   and it absolutely sounds like an old school metal song but with a giant, drunk Swedish man growling at me.

Satan Rising has the same drunken Swedish man reach a surprising register as he does an amazing job imitating Ozzy instead of doing a death metal growl.

Snake Eyes has the giant Swede putting on more of rock voice and the guitar solo is spot on.

Stand Up To Go Down came on and I instantly knew that this was going to be a great rendition of AC/DC.

This EP is a buy for anyone who loves covers especially when bands do a good job covering these songs. Also the fact that these are some really obscure songs makes it even more of a jewel.

PT Cruiser

Pastor Troy Crown Royal

Hosted by DJ Scream

The song U Ain't Heard About Me is actually a song questioning people on why they haven't heard about him and mentions the songs he was featured on included Throw It Up by Lil John.

War is a song that first appeared on his cd Tool Muzic but he had put it on here again. Good thing this is a good song.

Can you guess which song Cold As Ice samples?

All The Way Crunk Up features Lil John and is also the first artist to be featured on it. It's good that they buried the hatchet and Lil John forgave him for that diss track. Also Waka Flaka gets the last verse in.

Band Of Brothers

Chevelle la gorgola

The band of brothers (literally) is back. It's been too long since they've out out a good cd and here it is.

Ouija Board - The son starts off with a slow weird noise effect then kicks right off to a kicking new song.

Take Out The Gunman was a little different than something they've ever done before. Not sure why maybe it was the Cowbell or what. Also every song has ended with guitar sustain and began with an effect.

Jawbreaker is my favorite song on the cd. Check out that solo and the sound of the cymbals along with that low bass.

H3

Hank Williams III rambling man

Rambling man - not a nod to the song with the same title actually it's a lot different than some of his other stuff. Not very outlaw but getting more in touch with his grandfathers style.

Marijuana Blues starts off as a thrash song but goes right into some good kicking rebellious country.

Hang On was a great song. A little bit of distortion and delay on Hank's voice made his twangy voice sound like a rock singer.

This is a great EP so anyone who has followed his career would enjoy to buy this on iTunes.

6blocc

6blocc Supreme Dub

The title track on this single by the trap producer is hugely influenced by reggae just like trap and Dubstep songs usually are. Bumbaclot with a guitar sounding synth and it trades off using a snare and clap on the beat.

Gimme a Hell yeah!

Hellyeah Blood for Blood

Sangre Por Sangre is a cover of hardcore band Blood For Blood I've never heard this song because I have only heard of Blood a For Blood but I will check them out now that I heard this song.

Cross To Bier is a cover of the band Cradle Of Bones now I have never heard of these guys either but I will check them out now.

I'm guessing Hellyeah made these songs there own but if you never heard of these bands this might be the opportunity to check them out and stream these covers.

Scream For Me

Markus Schulz - Scream 2

Fourth track in Remember This and I'm still not impressed with any of the songs until this one came on.

By the time Distino comes on now I realize that every song has 18 seconds of silence before it begins and there was nothing wrong with my iPod.

Dancing In The Key of Life is such a good title and also such a good song with a happy lead line.

Make You Fall is a nice little love songs with romantic trance arpeggiated synth and the female vocalist delivery was the strongest on the album.  The only thing I thought was weird that it was edited.

So this album is only OK. Check out the song Marti Gras, DJs, for your sets. Trance fans might enjoy this so buy it if you really like trance.

Outer space Zoo

Bro Safari and UFO - Animal

This collaboration between these producers lead to some pretty strange songs with also some good ones also some songs only with cool parts.

Drama is what trap music is ment to be. Gun shot samples, hard beat, and some rap samples.

The Dealer is a Dubstep song that screams at the listener to acknowledge that Brostep is still alive.

Animal the title track sounded like one of the songs from Infected Mushroom's Dubstep album.

Burn The Block samples Biggie Smalls ("Start stacking and gun packing and burn the block apart) and again has gunshot samples.

This release was ok. The ones to buy are Drama and Burn The Block. Also check out the Deluxe edition for remixes of all the songs done by ETC! ETC! and Evol Intent and others.

Avicii Does Avicii

Avicii Avicii by Avicii

The new album by Avicii is out

Wake Me Up - This is the album cut and not the radio edit which sounds a lot more like a house song than a folk EDM crossover and it sounded so much better.

I really liked Liar Lair because the lead line made me feel so happy so he was doing his job as an EDM producer to feel the listener with euphoria.

This was a pretty good release.  Djs should buy both versions of Wake Me Up and depending the a atmosphere you should decide which one to play.

The Lord Rested.

Crosses Crosses

This Is A Trick is what the name says. I didn't realize that this was going to have such an electronic sound. But Chino still delivers like he's in the Deftones.

Thholyghost is the first realization that the name was an intentionally meant to be blasphemous.

I've been listening to this cd for about 20 minutes now and when The Epilogue came on I wondered why all these songs sound pretty lame.

Blk Stallion is the the first time I've enjoyed a song off this. It has an old school hiphop beat meets with a gothic bass line.

To me this is extremely boring. Just ignore this side project completely and wait for the new Deftones cd to come out soon.

School of Brostep

Skrillex Recess

Skrillex has put out a new album and it seems a little more tame now. Not the hard edge Screamo influenced music he used to do but more melodic.

All Is Fair In Love And Brostep shows that Skrillex has accepted the title of Brostep that was ment as an insult at first. I don't like the kick in the intro and it seemed like he was trying to hard with the repeated sample from a rocket taking off and the announcer saying "It needs this much power".

Recess features hook master and endless shouter Big Scoob and sounds like it was targeted for kids.

Try It Out samples the "OK" from Mercy by Kanye West.

Dirty Vibe features Nikki Minaj and contains a lyrical interpolation of Jay Z ( I don't pop Molly's I rock microphones).

This wasn't as good as some of his other releases. I was hoping for some real hard hitting Dubstep but this one is more melodic. If your a dj get the songs Recess and Try It Out to get your dance floor moving.

The Cowboy Returns.

Johnny Cash Out Among The Stars

This new posthumous release from the man in black was put out by his widow and son. A great collection of unreleased songs that even comes with commentary from the son on disc number 2.

Out Among The Stars is a story about a liquor store getting robbed with the same cowboy chords Johnny was famous for.

If I Told You Who It Was is about a mystery woman that Johnny spent the night with from the Grand Ole Oprey Show. It also makes for a real good song along song.

There is a lot of heartbreak songs on this album which I thought was necessary for a country cd. Drive Her Out Of My Mind is a song about buying a Cadillac and spending one last night with an ex lover.

She Used To Love Me A lot appears on the album twice, the second time is a duet with his wife.

This is a great album. Folk fans, country fans, punk fans, Johnny Cash fans,  music fans should buy this.

The Bay Area

Lil wyte and frayser boy bar

Lil Wyte and Frayser have come together for a duo on this new release and it's been a while since I've heard from Frayser but Lil wyte is always here and doing this like he never left which is also the first song.  See what I did there?

La chat makes a few appearances along with Gangsta Boo which is good to see that HCP still hangs out and works together which can only mean more reunions are around the corner.

Jelly Roll is on the track Six O' Clock  it's nice to see they buried the hatchet on a rivalry that wasn't really necessary.

They Don't Like That is the turnt up shit I do like.

The new album is a must buy. It's been a long time coming but the two Bay Area (Memphis)

Damn It's Late

The tonight show with trae the truth.

New mix tape from trae the truth the first song pain features Philthy Rich  and J-Stalin.

Go Away features Mitchy Slick from San Diego but this is the second song in a row that have a lullaby beat.

By the time Like A Diamond comes on I'm assuming all songs are meant to be slow and almost at an  whispered delivery.  This one obviously samples Diamond by Rihanna.

You don't need this mixtape unless you like to listen to music as your falling asleep.

La vida loca

YG My Krazy Life

The west coast is back and making a resurrection.  With artists like Kendrick Lamar and YG, Compton is back.

BPT is a play on words on CPT (Compton) because YG claims blood and they will never use the letter C.

Left, Right will get any west coast party turnt up.

Bicken Back Being Bool is another representation of how he will never use the letter C even in his song titles to the point where they won't even make sense unless you bang red.

Meet The Flockers is about home invasions with a skit that lead into it and it sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

Me And My Bitch is about a girl creeping around and he gets jealous even though he had a side bitch the whole time.

Who Do You Love? Is the second single but has almost the same exact bass line, piano riff, and flow as the first single My Nigga. Drake appears on the track and they have worked together before.

My Nigga is the first single off the record and was blown up thanks to World Star Hip Hop. It's an ode to his homies and really is my favorite song off the release. Young Jeezy makes on the feature on the radio release while Rich Homie Quan, Lil Wayne, and Nikki Minaj appear on the edited remix of the track called My Hitta.

Buy this album and help bring Compton back to the glory days. Hey maybe even Dr. Dre might even come out with something new.

Wuah!

Rick Ross Mastermind

Rich Is Gangster describes how he signed new artists and discusses about when the Gangster Disciples tried to extort The Boss and even a little diss to 50 Cent.

Drug Dealer Dream begins with a voice message of Rick Ross' bank account ($92,153,183.20).

Shots Fired is a skit that contains the newscast about the shooting on Rick Ross by the GDs.

The Devil Is A Lie is the second single off the album featuring Jay Z and some questionable lyrics and a title that won't prove that they didn't sell their souls.

War Ready starts with a sample of life sentence prison hearing and features Future and Jeezy also gives a shout out to Crips, Vice Lords, even Gangster Disciples showing that he don't give a fuh about it.

Blk & Wht is the worst song on the cd.

Yeezy makes an appearance on the song Sanctified which sounds like a sarcastic attempt at a gospel song.

You Know I Got It is the first single released and features Jay Z again and became one of my favorite Rozay songs.

This album is half hip hop and half gospel R&B pretty interesting. If it's $9.99 on iTunes get it but not if it's $11.99 then I would say buy You Know I Got It if you're not a huge Ross fan.

Blue Eyed Devil Blues

Tommy Castro and the Painkillers The Devil You Know

Tommy Castro is modern blues rock singer and guitar player who has made a following in my hometown of San Diego. The new album he put out is a new set song about life, love, working, and sins.

Second Mind gives us a great organ riff to open the song.

I'm Tired reminds me of the songs from his earlier releases and I really dig it.

The Whale Have Swallowed Me is a delta blues style song that could have been released during that period and no one would know he's a old white guy.

When I Cross The Mississippi is a total rocking blues jam.

For new blues fans you don't need this one but what you should stream is his older works. For old blues fans go buy his first two records.

Einse

Dj neophyte VS Tha Playah Still No. 1

Still No.1 invade you forgot who the top hardcore dj, producer, group, label was then here's your reminder.

Negative doesn't bring anything new to the table so it gets a negative review.  But I do like the Beastie Boys sample.

Great success is just a reticle to Party by the Viper because everything is the exact same.

Don't buy just stream these songs.

Future of hardcore

DJ Mad Dog with MC Jeff The Future

The Future has an acid riff with a modern hardcore kick and the lyrics evoke unity between the hardcore crowd.

 Rude Motherfuckers

Dreams is remixed by Odious has a real tense and panicky feeling to it making it seem more like a nightmare than a dream.

Last Motherfucker is remixed by Nekasrof and had a pretty cool guitar sounding synth on it.

The collaborations between DJs and Hip hop MCs seem to be the new trend in hardcore which is cool because it's just another musical blend. But still I think the only one worth buying is Rude MF.

What's An Eltdown?

The Viper & Kasparov Ft. Alee & Diesel Meltdown

Meltdown the opening track off this huge collaboration has a rap section,as with the growing trend in hardcore is, and a pretty wicked lead synth.

I am Phoenix has an interesting little clean piano riff with lyrics about self loathing.

Controlling The ReFix I laughed to myself when I heard the choir doing the melody to silver bells.

With all these artists in here you think that this would be more impressive. It sounds good but there aren't too many more banging songs out there any more. Buy I am Phoenix and stream the other ones.

No Genre No Cry

Skindred Kill The Power

Here's the new album from reggae/ dancehall/ metal band Skindred. The first titular first song isn't the first time they started off with when they released their first cd it was called Nobody and so was the awesome genre bending song. This song is almost as awesome.

The next song is called Ruling Force and it starts off with a thrash riff then the verse goes into a dancehall beat that sounds like a Major Lazer track.

Ummm what just happend? Playing With The Devil is a pure dubstep song. These guys don't follow any genre and it's awesome.

Saturday is going to be the new song you will hear on the radio everyday and still enjoy it.

Proceed With Caution is the first punk song on the album in which they used to have sort of punk influence and it finally came out.

More Fire is the only reggae song on the cd and is my favorite because it's a nice change from all the heavy stuff and also a really clever way to end the cd.

This cd is the so catchy and is the best cd that they have put out. This is one for the iTunes collection.

Stereo sound

311 Stereolithic

New 311 I can't believe it.  I guess the 90s are coming back ever since Nine Inch Nails announced their tour with Soundgarden and now these cats put out a new cd.

Five of Everything brings it back to their old days of blending reggae and ska with punk and hip hop. SoCal bands just know the right formula for great music.

Sand Dollars is the new beach anthem and has a totally funky bass line.

The Call has a nice little start stop riff along with a chorus that the Goo Goo Dolls themselves would be proud to rip off.

Stream this album a few times then decide if you want to buy or keep streaming.

Don't Exsist

Unexist Power Of Underground

Power Of Underground I love when producers use different kinds of distortion and overdrive for there kicks. It makes it more interesting than hearing the same kick sound with every song. A Spanish sample is used talking about music.

Fistortion is remixed by Bartoch  is a total old school hardcore meets jungle meets new school hardcore track that blows my mind with the amount of distortion used. I can't tell the notes being used at all.

Stream these. Save your money for more beat port purchases.

Thunder Struck

Dj mad dog thunder like

Thunder like has some new sounds I haven't heard before then features an mc with a lot of crazy vocals effects to a sustained note right into a crushing kick section.

The memory disappears is the Adaro mix and is a little less hard than thunder like and sounds more like hardstyle than hardcore.  And theead line sounds like the melody from outro to he memory remains hence he name.

No need to but just stream and enjoy.

The Day After Tomorrow

Iced Earth Plagues Of Babylon

I admit that this is my first listen to Iced Earth so I am going in blind on this new cd by the power metal band.

The first track is the title track off the cd and starts off with a militaristic march then rocks off into a totally rocking song.

The next track Demoncide is probably has the best instrumentation on the new release and just has the singer really standing strong.

The End? Starts off making you think this is going to be a power ballad but  goes back and forth between emotion and anger. That solo though.

When Peacemaker started I thought I was listening to a cover of Simple Man by Lynryd Skynyrd.  From the opening riff to the vocal melody even the guitar solo.

ince I cannot make a comparison to their other work or even know how the old fans will feel about this album but defiantly know that I have become a fan and will be checking out their entire back catalogue. If your a fan of Iced Earth then I say give it a listen and figure out for yourself.

The Return of the Mafia

Mafia six

The mafia returns well but without Juicy J or even Project Pat for that matter. It's even released on DJ Paul's label Scale-A-Ton and not Hypnotized Mindz. The rest of the HCP comes in sporadically.  No La Chat and also the last release for the group with Lord Infamous because of his death.

Go hard featuring Yellawolf is the first single and first track. The video was released on world star hip hop to promote the album.  I think they should have gotten Lil Wyte instead through.

Been had hard follows the forumla that DJ Paul has been doing on his solo records.

Betta Pray starts off with a sample of the new black sabbath song "God Is Dead" and continues throughout the song. Lil Wyte makes his first appearance on the album along with Outlawz. During the second half of the song starts with a sample of devils rejects.

Break Da Law is a throwback to the old track.

Space Ghost Purp, Krazy Bone, and Bizzy Bone make for the most sought after collaboration besides the reunion on  the track Murder On My Mind.

Remember starts with a sample of I'm going I live forever and features Lil Wyte for his second spot on the CD.

Stash Spot starts off with a sample of the song "Number Of The Beast" by Iron Maiden but just the "666" part.

Yean High features the other Memphis legends 8 Ball & MJG and is my pick for best song on the CD.

Body Parts is the posse song that three 6 was known for doing and this features Juicy J, Koopsta Knicca, Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Lil Wyte, Crunchy Black, Project Pat, Locodunit, La Chat, Point Blank, DJ Paul, Lord Infamous, JGrxxn, and Kokoe.  The song totals 9:01.

BONUS TRACKS

Grab Da Gauge is a reference to their old song Grab Tha Gauge.

How We Gone Play will be the song they going to play before dirt is about to be done.

DJ Paul knows people downloads his music but I bought it because I am a huge triple six fan. All mainstream fans or new Juicy J fans won't like it. This was made strictly for people that have been down the whole time.

Szatan

Behemoth the satanist

The cd doesn't start out with an intro but rather a slow chugging song titled Blow your trumpets Gabriel.

Messe Noir is where Nergal professes his worship of satan as were all aware of that with his ripping of the Bible onstage in Poland or the title of the new cd. An amazing solo at the end shows how far along a guitarist Nergal has come.

Amen contends to be their next hit behind Conquer All. The bridge section even had tribal war drums.

The Satanist starts off with almost an alt rock guitar riff but then they go back their black metal roots with this one.

All I the metal kingdom should buy the physical copy of this cd just because.

Wake mind sleep body

Cosmic Gate wake your mind

Sometimes they come back for more - cosmic gate sure has gotten a lot more mainstream with there music since they first arrived. Since they come back for more is a typical trance track with an needlessly long intro and a subtle synth line that also takes too long to roll into the speakers. The lead line they try to pass off isn't impressive neither is the lame drop.

Be your sound - I didn't mind the introduction becuase of the triangle sound they used in the beat but the driving kick they used was almost a revert to there old days even with a female vocal to make it more reminiscent of he glory days.  A soft piano bridge is something they should of saved for another song and in its place should of just used a soft synth with the singer.  But it all goes down from there as the lead falls very flat.

Nothing Ever Lasts is a chill out Trance song and now I normally dig the harder stuff but this one actually put me in a better mood as I was on my way to work.

Calm Down. That's what I had to tell myself because the saw synth, vocals, and melodies were so euphoric that I almost lost my mind. This is my absolute favorite song of these extended mixes.

Flying Blind is not a Cosmic Gate song but a Jes song. Peaks and valleys? More like outer space and below sea level.

All around you features 3 guests - Myon  & Shane  54 and Aruna. The guest producers add a little  extra flair the duo of cosmic gate making this a quintet of 4 producers and one singer. This would be the perfect mix to listen to once everyone makes It home. Don't listen to directly after the rave or you all will fall asleep in the car.

Who is Chrome?

Chrome Pro Status

Wait your turn features former label mate project pat but it sounds more like a low quality sample than a feature.

Take money samples the song take the money and run.

Mary Jane has a sample of an old Chrome song called I Smoke Weed.

Automatic has Project Pat do another hook but Pats vocals again don't sound mastered so it makes me think they stole some unreleased Project vocals.

If your a dirty south fan you might like this, if you're a Chrome fan you'll like this, if your an HCP fan you might not like this.

THC

Texas hippy coalition.  Pride of Texas

I just recently heard of these guys from another blog doing a list of great bands from Texas. So when I was aware that a new album came out I had to write a review on it.

If you aren't familiar with these guys their sound is like a mid tempo pantera with a southern rock twang for obvious reasons. The singer is a giant man who sounds like Phil Anselmo during a "clean" section but a bit more baritone.

Pissed Off And Mad About It is the song I enjoyed a lot and is also the song I heard on the blog I first heard them on. Check out the sweet video on their YouTube channel.

Drug Dealer is a story about well a drug dealer and is not meant to put it  in a glorious light but a damning one. The guitars are delayed during the verse the verses.

River bottom is about living in Texas and acting like a whiskey drinking Texan.  The instrumentation is reminds me of the 80s metal bands.

These guys have a lot of classic metal influence and they pull it off. If you want to try some new heavy metal that's on the rise and doing some opening spots on upcoming festivals then give these guys a listen.

Long Live The King

Lord infamous voodoo

The last solo release from the king of horrorcore lord infamous before he died is one that he can proud of. The work is horror core mixed with turnt up songs to make a combination of old school mafia songs with the potential of  the  modern juicy j songs but we know that the mainstream would ever touch this.

Skitzo personality is a great track because that could get picked up by the radio of the regular people even knew the ties lord infamous has to the mainstream.

Gangster is the second track off the cd and has a hook that's actually funny to hear.

My favorite song on this is No Love. It's the second to last track and has a real hard chorus.

The production on this album is very reminiscent of old school 3 6 and the lyrics are of course about murder. I loved this one and you should buy it to help support his family now that he has passed on.

Back that track up.

Juvenile The Fundamentals

Pay The Rent featuring Jeezy the first song off the album gets you turnt up right away. Jeezy sings the hook and has a fantastic verse.

All Over goes along with the current trend of comparing a rappers skills / money to basketball players or really just Michael Jordan and uses some pretty sweet trap style beats.

Live Wire is an song that slightly takes the melody to the chorus of AC/DC's song with the same title.

The final song  This Is Your Song is a slow song and I laughed a little bit becuase he referenced Back That Ass Up.

This is a great solo release by the former Hot Boy  and it also has modern quality so you should buy it whether your a old head or a new comer.

Strange things happening at the 76

Brotha Lynch Hung The Gas Station Mixtape

Well it's the second part of the mixtape and every song on the first part of the
mixtape has a 2 minute outro of just beats! When I'm driving in my car I don't want to hear just hi hats and bass if it's not accompanied by a voice unless of course the outro is only for a maximum of 30 seconds.

What they want is my favorite song of the mixtape and it also doesn't have a 2 minute outro.  If features an artist named papoose.

Umm so lynch does a love song  "Horizontal" and it's not a song about killing a female but missing her.  What happened to you Brotha?

Study Me is the only track that throws it back to the 90s flow he had.

Even though this is a strange music release the productions sound like regular brotha material which is what he said his contract would be. Just buy the first half of the mixtape and the final two songs skip the middle ones.

Majah Lazah

Major laser

Aerosol can features pharell Williams  and has him rapping pretty fast about drugs. With an island beat that brings out the dancehall influence that major has. No synth just vocals, bass, and percussion.

Come on to me features Sean Paul and I sure has missed the dirty rocket. Another dance hall infused beat on a house track that will have the ravers learning how to wine like the Jamaicans do.

Sound bang has a reggae intro a a drum and bass song featuring reggae vocals and reggae interlude.

Master This!

Neophyte master this

Master this uses the classic rave sample pump up the volume then chops it up to match the kick. Also uses chops up the air horn sample and pans it. The lead

Only way out - has a drum and bass feel but with a  distorted hardcore bass drum. They often uses a mc that raps which rap goes so well with hardcore in my opinion, but still the DNB vibe it gives off makes me feel like they should have just marketed as a drum and bass track.

These two tracks were produced by The Viper, The Playah, and Dj Neophyte. Nothing special but I like it.

Sur3l

Dj S3rl back track dj edit.
It's been a while since I've heard S3rl  partly because I don't often listen to happy hardcore. Anyways the vocalist in this track is reversed I guess hence the title. The lead is very cartoony as I sure you plus kids were loving it to be but the rewind noises give the track a really weird feel. Do not like.

Forever is totally a track with more cheese than a deep dish, stuffed crust, New York pizza.

If love songs at 190 BPMs is your idea of great music then this is right up your candy coated alley.

Art of dog

Dj mad dog and Art of fighters badass

Badass starts us off with some sound effects and a kick drum sounds like some Swedish house mafia would produce and then after a little riff that once again sounds like   A SHM but then the distorted kick kicks in with the lead and the vocals and Erases the preconceived notion about what I had about the song. Soon goes back but it feels so right to have the contrasting sounds mix together.

Apocalypse starts off sounding like a happy hardcore tune but quickly shifts into a hardcore track with peaks and valleys to dance and catch your breath. Oh my goodness the lead synth is spectacular.

The collaboration between these producers is a great showcase of music. This is one for the collection.

Don't play this song this achy breaky song

Achy break 2

So Billy Ray Cyrus is trying to make a come back and It's awful. Just awful. The best thing you can do is completely ignore that this exists.

Also the "rapper" Buck 22 tries to make it his song and have it feature Billy Ray but I have listened to this song a second time.

Unexist

Unexist burn it all down
I liked the lyrics to the song very nihilistic anthem. The repeated chorus made the song enjoyable.  Otherwise nothing stands out to me in the track.

Dream of death
The intro is a bit weak and then starts and stops up. Confusing to get a feel for the rhythm. Even the guest mc doesn't impress. Also kick drum is too lo-fi. The song uses a lot of the lo-fi effect throughout. The interlude is pretty cool with sample. Lead and drop fall flat with the over use of lo-fi.

Djs this will clear the dance floor so I say a stream will suffice for this release.

Art of Fighters Resurrection

Art of Fighters - Resurrection

Resurrection - The interlude during this intro almost sounds like a classical Japanese melody then kicks into an amazing display of hardcore mastery with a lead synth that demands the listener to stomp around the room.

Fuck You! - Wow what a super deep kick drum AOF are using on this track. The soft synth sounds like it could be a lead if only the distorted it. That's why I feel they should have traded the lead with the rhythm.

Rocket - A trippy outer space esque starts it off then an MC with a rap flow talks about getting high then hardcore euphoric lead bangs out and shoots the listener to the moon.

All songs have a bridge section that includes a sample of an old time speech except for Rocket which has a countdown and then informing the passengers that the captain is high as fuck. I recommend buying these songs if you're a hardcore dj, especially Rocket.

Hop is back!

Hopsin - Knock Madness

The Fiends are Knocking starts up the new release with Hopsin once again talking spit about the pop rappers but does it with all the emotion he puts into his work and also describes a story of a fan who Hopsin had saved their life with his music.

Whose There has a hook that solidifies Hops title as the black Eminem with the delivery of a combination of Eminem and Nate Dogg.

Tears To Snow makes Hopsin show how he is not like other rappers as he remains loyal to his girlfriend and is not interested in riches.

Rip Your Heart Out features Tech N9ne and Hopsin keeping up with Tech while the funniest line Tech has ever said " The Niggas are coming! The Niggas are comming!"

Gimme That Money is about gold diggers wither they be friends or girlfriends.

Bad Manners is a freestyle.

Old friend reverts back to his friend on meth, mentioned in Chris Dolmeth.

Lunch time cypher brings it back to when MCs would freestyle at the lunchroom and beatbox.

This CD is good and I would say buy on Itunes rather than pay $15 at stores.

Back to being Basic

Twista Back to the Basics

The intro to the CD is a just a freestyle but whatever because Twista is back long time producer Traxtor!

Ferocious brings is back to the Twista we missed. Traxtor impresses too with some speeding violins that can keep up with Twist.

Beast has Twist putting his spin on today's modern sound. He even puts his twist on the Karate Chop Atlanta southern style flow. The lyrics sound like he's reading out of a college biology text book.

Swagger like a dope boy begins with modern dark hip-hop production. The kind of sound Chief Keef would only dream of doing. A real grimy song about drugs and killing.

Want my love is a slow song on the EP meaning there are 3 slow jams and 3 thug songs. If this is Twista's attempt to fit in with the style then I would say to him just stick to what you know. So say one stream on Spotify is good enough for this EP.

E-40 Block Brochure Parts 4,5, and 6

E-40 Welcome To The Soil

Part 4:

Classic Bay Area beat is exactly the thought that comes to my mind as soon as Bamboo comes on. Although the hook is whack and makes no sense. "Rocking in your ear like bamboo".

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has Juicy J make a guest appearance.

Episodes is a sex song that will have all the dance floors full of people slowly grinding on each other. Puts me in the mood to grab my girlfriend and smash.

Got That Line reminds us that E still has got it and brings it back to Mob Music.

Candlelight is the most gangster song on the album hitting real hard by "Your homies are going to have a a Candlelight if you fuck with me."

Part 5:

Plush: Gamed up, luxurious, flossing, a bitch with a big ass, a dice game, this song.

Countdown has 2 Chainz doing his best feature of his career on this song.

Play Too Much has e-40s nephew on the track.

Project Building has a mean sounding guitar sound making it a gritty late night song with Gucci Mane adding to the low down dirtiness of the song.

Champagne is a grooving chopped up song featuring the boss Rick Ross and produced by Maybach Music so that's why it sounds like a dirty south song. I feel like E really gets along with southern artists. French Montana also features on the song but has the weakest verse which is a shame because he normally has such good features.

Part 6:

Pablo is the second appearance by Gucci and is titled after Pablo Escobar.

Another southern artist, Young Jeezy lends his talent on the song Tonight but only for 8 bars. So far there have been 4 southern artists doing guest spots on these CDs.

Rep my district is a trap beat and gangster lyrics.

Don't Shoot The Messenger closes all chapters of the Block Brochure and ends with a sample of why rappers should sing more about helping the community than what life in the ghetto is like. This song is about the hardships he went through and where he is now.

Seriously buy all copies to complete the collection. E-40 makes the most inspiring hustle music. I always want to grind harder whenever I listen to his music.

Grave Digger - Promo

           Grave Digger  For Promotion Only

Ride On - Took too long to start, a reason why you never heard of these guys. Dude get some singing lessons. The bands needs to lean not to rip off Anthrax.

Spy of a Mad - Slow chugging beginning then comes into play like a good thrash song but the singer just ruins everything. Guitar solo lacks because it's more like a start and stop riff.

Shadows of a Moonless Night - The first song that fits in with the vocals.

Fight the Fight - Starts us off with a nice drum intro then leads into a thrash riff that we all know and love. This is definitely the drunken mosh pit song you wanted.

Avoid listening to this promo disc at all costs.

UGK Banned

This album is the underground tapes that ugk wrote early in their career and now have released them remastered.

Intro is just a quick little freestyle by Bun B that eases us into the ep and goes straight into a real southern jam called Pregnant Pussy which I'm sure you already know that its about a horny housewife cheating on her babies daddy with the underground kings. Although some of the lyrics get a little disturbing they are also hilarious in there own sick way.

Pusi Mental  is the instrumental version of Pregnant Pussy.

Mutha Aint Mine tricked me at because it starts with a girl talking about her being pregnant off the kings so I thought it was going to be a continuation of Pregnant Pussy but it might as well be because its about when a girl tries to claim a man is the baby daddy when both know its not his.

It also comes with the instrumental version of Mutha Aint Mine.

I would say buy the instrumental tracks to do freestyles with a Texas rap style.

Red Sabbath

Danzig Deth Red Sabaoth
Here comes Danzig's new solo album Deth Red Sabaoth with the first track Hammer of the Gods makes me think Danzig should try adding effects to his voice. Now I know his voice is iconic and we like him becuase he cannot sing at all but his vocals on this track make it really stand out that he's getting tired.
The Revengeful uses the same guitar riff as Hammer of the Gods but in a different rhythm, actually making the song more enjoyable than the previous song. Oh the mystery of music.
Black Candy is a gloomy, slow, gothic tune about a mysterious and seductive woman.
On A Wicked Night has an acoustic-electric guitar and speak of the devil, Danzig actually uses a flanger effect on his voice to make the song sound like Danzig doing his take on modern folk music. Then it transitions into an overly-distorted guitar with Danzig and his effected vocals continuing
Deth Red Moon is the sort of title track that stands out as the albums lead song and has an amazing chorus and sing along vocals throughout the song.
There are two song as the album titled Pyre of Souls, the first one subtitled Incanticle and the second is titled Seasons of Pain. Incanticle is a choir chanting over a steel string acoustic guitar and some soft percussion. Seasons of Pain is seven minutes long and is basically the metal version of Incanticle.
I had a feeling that the last song on this cd would be a slow song and I was right. The closing track Left  Hand Rise is at a snails pace compared to the outro of Seasons of Pain.
A lot of slow songs make the cd very doomy but still enjoyable for the dark nights by yourself in your room with a bottle of Ever clear. Also every song on this cd ends with a guitar drone and a whammy bar so they overused a lot of techniques.

MMLP2

Marshal Mathers LP 2

Marshal Mathers LP 2? More like Relapse part 3 becuase so far all 3 albums by Shady were awful.

The opening track "Bad Guy" is a long drawn out 7 minutes and 14 seconds single.  What rap song has been this long ever? Not only is it entirely too long but why make it the first track?

The song "Survival" is the third single released and the fifth track on the album. Eminem makes sure to use Skylar Grey as much as possible on MMLP2...hope she's getting a big cut.

"Rhyme Or Reason" uses the music from the song "Time of the Season" by Argent and Em even uses the melody of the chorus to sing his words as well. "Berzerk" was the first single released and contains both a Billy Squire sample ("Stroke") and Beastie Boys sample ("Fight For Your Right To Party").  When I heard this on the radio I immediately thought this was a joke but alas it wasn't...to my shock and amazement it was an actual Eminem song.

Thankfully, the single "Rap God" handedly made the album worth giving a listen to. With the fastest rap lines Slim has ever come out with and more punch lines in this song  than Lil Wayne has in his entire catalog, this song has got to be the best song on the album. I got a little laugh out of "Brainless" as it opens up with a sample from Super Bad when the women at the liquor store says "Eminem the rapper."

"Asshole" is YET another song with Skyler singing the hook. While she is a great singer, I don't think she needs to be on half of the album. Also this is also another song on the album when he reuses rap lines we have head from his first Marshal Mathers LP. "The Monster" starts off with Rhianna's beautiful voice stating that shes friends with the monster under her bed. Great lyricism and delivery from both artists here.

"So Far..." begins with yet another classic rock sample. This one being "Life's Been Good To Me So Far" by Joe Walsh. Not only did he used the music melody of the song but he uses the hook as well. "Love Game" is now the fourth song in his album that he has sampled so far....in this song he used "Game of Love" by Wayne Fonta and the Mindbenders. Kendrick Lemar uses the melody to sign his rendition of this classic 1960s song. Nate Ruess from fun. makes quite possibly the second weirdest collaboration Eminem has done since him and Elton John on "Headlights" and makes it even sound like a fun. song with the amount of auto tune Nate uses and the simplistic post-emo drum beat.

If you were able to get the deluxe edition then "Wicked Ways", the last track on the album bringing the grand total to 21 tracks. This song contains an interpolation of "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons sung by X Ambassador. He mentions Violent J from Insane Clown Posse saying the two are similar possibly indicating that Eminem is over the beef officially.

So with all the samples, recycled lyrics, and obscene ammount of tracks, I would say ONE listen is all you need to hear from this album.
